Moving the Cabin

Well you will notice the last week went by without anything further to update. That changed yesterday and today with the cabin finally getting shifted to the north about 30 ft.

Monday the crew arrived and they attached vertical microlam (thick plywood) to the exterior to hold the logs together and keep them from sagging or separating during the lift and move.

On the interior they attached very deep microlam beams all around about half way up the walls. These are what the steel beams would lift and thus raise the log cabin off the old foundation. The lift and move in the next posting.
